$$4 x^2-7 x+3- \left( x-1 \right) \left( 3 x-1 \right) = $$ Раскрытие скобок: $$4 x^2-7 x+3+ \left( -x+1 \right) \left( 3 x-1 \right) = $$ Раскрытие скобок: $$4 x^2-7 x+3-3 x^2+x+3 x-1= $$ $$x^2-3 x+2$$ Ответ: \( x^2-3 x+2 \) Решим квадратное уравнение \( x^2-3 x+2= 0 \)

Решение квадратного уравнения \( x^2-3 x+2= 0 \)

Вычислим дискриминант. $$D = b^2-4ac = 1$$ $$x_{1,2}= \frac{-b\pm\sqrt{D}}{2a} = \frac{3\pm\sqrt{1}}{2} = \frac{3\pm1}{2} $$ Ответ: \( x_1 = 2,\; x_2 = 1 \)

Решение по теореме Виета

Т.к. \( \left| a \right|=1 \), то можно воспользоваться теоремой Виета: $$x^2+px+q=0 \Rightarrow \left\{\begin{array}{l} x_1+x_2=-p \\ x_1 \cdot x_2=q \end{array}\right.$$ $$\left\{\begin{array}{l} x_1+x_2=3 \\ x_1 \cdot x_2=2 \end{array}\right.
  $$ \frac{1}{3} $$ $$ 1 $$ $$ 2 $$
Ответ: $$ x \in \left( \frac{1}{3} ;\; 1 \right] \cup \left[ 2 ;\; +\infty \right) $$ или $$ \frac{1}{3}

Нахождение производной функции

Найти производную функции $$ f(x) = \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) ^{2}$$ Решение $$ f'(x) = \left( \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) ^{2}\right) ‘= $$ $$ = 2 \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) ‘= $$ $$ = 2 \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) \cdot \left( sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) ‘= $$ $$ = 2 \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) \cdot cos \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \cdot \left( 2 \cdot x\right) ‘= $$ $$ = 2 \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) \cdot cos \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \cdot 2= $$ $$ = 4 \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) \cdot cos \left( 2 \cdot x\right) $$ Ответ: $$ f'(x) = 4 \cdot \left( 1+sin \left( 2 \cdot x\right) \right) \cdot cos \left( 2 \cdot x\right) $$

90000 Solving Equations 90001 90002 What is an Equation? 90003 90004 An equation says that two things are equal. It will have an equals sign «=» like this: 90005 90004 That equations says: 90007 what is on the left (x — 2) is equal to what is on the right (4) 90008 90005 90004 So an equation is like a 90007 statement 90008 «90013 this 90014 equals 90013 that 90014» 90005 90002 What is a Solution? 90003 90004 A Solution is a value we can put in place of a variable (such as 90013 x 90014) that makes the equation 90007 true 90008.90005 90026 90027 Example: x — 2 = 4 90028 90004 When we put 6 in place of x we get: 90005 90004 6 — 2 = 4 90005 90004 which is 90007 true 90008 90005 90004 So x = 6 is a solution. 90005 90004 How about other values for x? 90005 90041 90042 For x = 5 we get «5-2 = 4» which is 90007 not true 90008, so 90007 x = 5 is not a solution 90008. 90047 90042 For x = 9 we get «9-2 = 4» which is 90007 not true 90008, so 90007 x = 9 is not a solution 90008.90047 90042 etc 90047 90056 90004 In this case x = 6 is the only solution. 90005 90004 You might like to practice solving some animated equations. 90005 90002 More Than One Solution 90003 90004 There can be 90007 more than one 90008 solution. 90005 90027 Example: (x-3) (x-2) = 0 90028 90004 When x is 3 we get: 90005 90071 (3-3) (3-2) = 0 × 1 = 0 90005 90071 which is 90007 true 90008 90005 90004 And when x is 2 we get: 90005 90071 (2-3) (2-2) = (-1) × 0 = 0 90005 90071 which is also 90007 true 90008 90005 90004 So the solutions are: 90005 90071 x = 90007 3 90008, or x = 90007 2 90008 90005 90004 When we gather all solutions together it is called a 90007 Solution Set 90008 90005 90004 The above solution set is: {2, 3} 90005 90002 Solutions Everywhere! 90003 90004 Some equations are true for all allowed values and are then called 90007 Identities 90008 90005 90027 Example: 90007 sin (-θ) = -sin (θ) 90008 is one of the Trigonometric Identities 90028 90004 Let’s try θ = 30 °: 90005 90004 90007 sin (-30 °) = -0.5 90008 and 90005 90004 90007 -sin (30 °) = -0.5 90008 90005 90004 So it is 90007 true 90008 for θ = 30 ° 90005 90004 Let’s try θ = 90 °: 90005 90004 90007 sin (-90 °) = -1 90008 and 90005 90004 90007 -sin (90 °) = -1 90008 90005 90004 So it is also 90007 true 90008 for θ = 90 ° 90005 90004 Is it true for 90007 all values of θ 90008? Try some values for yourself! 90005 90004 90005 90002 How to Solve an Equation 90003 90004 There is no «one perfect way» to solve all equations.90005 90027 A Useful Goal 90028 90004 But we often get success when 90007 our goal 90008 is to end up with: 90005 90004 In other words, we want to move everything except «x» (or whatever name the variable has) over to the right hand side. 90005 90027 Example: Solve 3x-6 = 9 90028 90004 Start with: 3x-6 = 9 90005 90004 Add 6 to both sides: 3x = 9 + 6 90005 90004 Divide by 3: x = (9 + 6) / 3 90005 90004 Now we have 90007 x = 90013 something 90014 90008, 90005 90004 and a short calculation reveals that 90007 x = 5 90008 90005 90002 Like a Puzzle 90003 90004 In fact, solving an equation is just like solving a puzzle.And like puzzles, there are things we can (and can not) do. 90005 90004 Here are some things we can do: 90005 90027 Example: Solve √ (x / 2) = 3 90028 90004 Start with: √ (x / 2) = 3 90005 90004 Square both sides: x / 2 90184 90185 = 3 90184 2 90185 90005 90004 Calculate 3 90184 2 90185 = 9: x / 2 = 9 90005 90004 Multiply both sides by 2: x = 18 90005 90004 And the more «tricks» and techniques you learn the better you will get. 90005 90002 Special Equations 90003 90004 There are special ways of solving some types of equations.Learn how to … 90005 90002 Check Your Solutions 90003 90004 You should always check that your «solution» really 90007 is 90008 a solution. 90005 90027 How To Check 90028 90004 Take the solution (s) and put them in the 90007 original equation 90008 to see if they really work. 90005 90027 Example: solve for x: 90028 90004 90216 2x 90217 90218 x — 3 90219 + 3 = 90216 6 90217 90218 x — 3 90219 (x ≠ 3) 90005 90004 We have said x ≠ 3 to avoid a division by zero.90005 90004 Let’s multiply through by (x — 3): 90005 90071 2x + 3 (x-3) = 6 90005 90004 Bring the 6 to the left: 90005 90071 2x + 3 (x-3) — 6 = 0 90005 90004 Expand and solve: 90005 90071 2x + 3x — 9 — 6 = 0 90005 90071 5x — 15 = 0 90005 90071 5 (x — 3) = 0 90005 90071 x — 3 = 0 90005 90004 That can be solved by having x = 3 90005 90004 Let us check: 90005 90004 90216 2 × 3 90217 90218 3 — 3 90219 + 3 = 90216 6 90217 90218 3 — 3 90219 90005 90004 90007 Hang On! 90026 That means Dividing by Zero! 90008 90005 90004 And anyway, we said at the top that x ≠ 3, so… 90005 90071 x = 3 does not actually work, and so: 90005 90071 There is 90007 No 90008 Solution! 90005 90004 That was interesting … we 90007 thought 90008 we had found a solution, but when we looked back at the question we found it was not allowed! 90005 90004 This gives us a moral lesson: 90005 90004 «Solving» only gives us possible solutions, they need to be checked! 90005 90002 Tips 90003 90041 90042 Note down where an expression is 90007 not defined 90008 (due to a division by zero, the square root of a negative number, or some other reason) 90047 90042 Show 90007 all the steps 90008, so it can be checked later (by you or someone else) 90047 90056 90004 90005 90004 90005 .2 + 1 (Graph Example), 4x + 2 = 2 (x + 6) (Solve Example) 90005 90006 90002 90008 Algebra Calculator 90009 is a calculator that gives step-by-step help on algebra problems. 90005 90002 See More Examples » 90005 90002 90008 Disclaimer: 90009 This calculator is not perfect. When we talk about the speed of a car or an airplane we measure it in miles per hour. This is called a rate and is a type of ratio. A ratio is a way to compare two quantities by using division as in miles per hour where we compare miles and hours. 90003 90002 A ratio can be written in three different ways and all are read as «the ratio of x to y» 90003 90002 $$ x \: to \: y $$ 90003 90002 $$ x: y $$ 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {x} {y} $$ 90003 90002 A proportion on the other hand is an equation that says that two ratios are equivalent.For instance if one package of cookie mix results in 20 cookies than that would be the same as to say that two packages will result in 40 cookies. 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {20} {1} = \ frac {40} {2} $$ 90003 90002 A proportion is read as «x is to y as z is to w» 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {x} {y} = \ frac {z} {w} \: where \: y, w \ neq 0 $$ 90003 90002 If one number in a proportion is unknown you can find that number by solving the proportion. 90003 90022 90002 90024 Example 90025 90003 90002 You know that to make 20 pancakes you have to use 2 eggs.How many eggs are needed to make 100 pancakes? 90003 90029 90030 90031 90032 90033 90032 90024 Eggs 90025 90033 90032 90024 pancakes 90025 90033 90042 90031 90032 90024 Small amount 90025 90033 90032 2 90033 90032 20 90033 90042 90031 90032 90024 Large amount 90025 90033 90032 x 90033 90032 100 90033 90042 90063 90064 90002 $$ \ frac {eggs} {pancakes} = \ frac {eggs} {pancakes} \: \: or \: \: \ frac {pancakes} {eggs} = \ frac {pancakes} {eggs} $$ 90003 90002 If we write the unknown number in the nominator then we can solve this as any other equation 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {x} {100} = \ frac {2} {20} $$ 90003 90002 Multiply both sides with 100 90003 90002 $$ {\ color {green} {100 \, \ cdot}} \, \ frac {x} {100} = {\ color {green} {100 \, \ cdot}} \, \ frac {2} { 20} $$ 90003 90002 $$ x = \ frac {200} {20} $$ 90003 90002 $$ x = 10 $$ 90003 90002 If the unknown number is in the denominator we can use another method that involves the cross product.The cross product is the product of the numerator of one of the ratios and the denominator of the second ratio. The cross products of a proportion is always equal 90003 90002 If we again use the example with the cookie mix used above 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {{\ color {green} {20}}} {{\ color {blue} {1}}} = \ frac {{\ color {blue} {40}}} {{\ color {green } {2}}} $$ 90003 90002 $$ {\ color {blue} {1}} \ cdot {\ color {blue} {40}} = {\ color {green} {2}} \ cdot {\ color {green} {20}} = 40 $$ 90003 90002 It is said that in a proportion if 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {x} {y} = \ frac {z} {w} \: where \: y, w \ neq 0 $$ 90003 90002 $$ xw = yz $$ 90003 90002 If you look at a map it always tells you in one of the corners that 1 inch of the map correspond to a much bigger distance in reality.This is called a scaling. We often use scaling in order to depict various objects. Scaling involves recreating a model of the object and sharing its proportions, but where the size differs. One may scale up (enlarge) or scale down (reduce). For example, the scale of 1: 4 represents a fourth. Thus any measurement we see in the model would be 1/4 of the real measurement. If we wish to calculate the inverse, where we have a 20ft high wall and wish to reproduce it in the scale of 1: 4, we simply calculate: 90003 90002 $$ 20 \ cdot 1: 4 = 20 \ cdot \ frac {1} {4} = 5 $$ 90003 90002 In a scale model of 1: X where X is a constant, all measurements become 1 / X — of the real measurement.The same mathematics applies when we wish to enlarge. Depicting something in the scale of 2: 1 all measurements then become twice as large as in reality. We divide by 2 when we wish to find the actual measurement. 90003 90022 90100 90024 Video lesson 90025 90103 90002 Find x 90003 90002 $$ \ frac {x} {x + 20} = \ frac {24} {54} $$ 90003 90002 90109 90110 90003 .90000 Solving Systems of Linear Equations Using Matrices 90001 90002 Hi there! This page is only going to make sense when you know a little about Systems of Linear Equations and Matrices, so please go and learn about those if you do not know them already! 90003 90004 The Example 90005 90002 One of the last examples on Systems of Linear Equations was this one: 90003 90008 Example: Solve 90009 90010 90011 x + y + z = 6 90012 90011 2y + 5z = -4 90012 90011 2x + 5y — z = 27 90012 90017 90002 We then went on to solve it using «elimination»… but we can solve it using Matrices! 90003 90002 Using Matrices makes life easier because we can use a computer program (such as the Matrix Calculator) to do all the «number crunching». 90003 90002 But first we need to write the question in Matrix form. 90003 90004 In Matrix Form? 90005 90002 OK. A Matrix is an array of numbers, right? 90003 90028 90029 A Matrix 90003 90002 Well, think about the equations: 90003 90033 90034 90035 x 90036 90035 + 90036 90035 y 90036 90035 + 90036 90035 z 90036 90035 = 90036 90035 6 90036 90049 90034 90035 90036 90035 90036 90035 2y 90036 90035 + 90036 90035 5z 90036 90035 = 90036 90035 -4 90036 90049 90034 90035 2x 90036 90035 + 90036 90035 5y 90036 90035 — 90036 90035 z 90036 90035 = 90036 90035 27 90036 90049 90082 90002 They could be turned into a table of numbers like this: 90003 90033 90034 90035 1 90036 90035 90036 90035 1 90036 90035 90036 90035 1 90036 90035 = 90036 90035 6 90036 90049 90034 90035 0 90036 90035 90036 90035 2 90036 90035 90036 90035 5 90036 90035 = 90036 90035 -4 90036 90049 90034 90035 2 90036 90035 90036 90035 5 90036 90035 90036 90035 -1 90036 90035 = 90036 90035 27 90036 90049 90082 90002 We could even separate the numbers before and after the «=» into: 90003 90033 90034 90035 1 90036 90035 1 90036 90035 1 90036 90035 90036 90035 6 90036 90049 90034 90035 0 90036 90035 2 90036 90035 5 90036 90035 and 90036 90035 -4 90036 90049 90034 90035 2 90036 90035 5 90036 90035 -1 90036 90035 90036 90035 27 90036 90049 90082 90002 Now it looks like we have 2 Matrices.90003 90002 In fact we have a third one, which is [x y z]: 90003 90002 90003 90002 90003 90002 Why does [x y z] go there? Because when we Multiply Matrices the left side becomes: 90003 90002 90003 90002 Which is the original left side of our equations above (you might like to check that). 90003 90004 The Matrix Solution 90005 90002 We can write this: 90003 90002 90003 90002 like this: 90003 90028 AX = B 90003 90002 where 90003 90010 90011 A is the 3×3 matrix of x, y and z 90203 coefficients 90204 90012 90011 X is 90203 x, y and z 90204, and 90012 90011 B is 90203 6, -4 and 27 90204 90012 90017 90002 Then (as shown on the Inverse of a Matrix page) the solution is this: 90003 90028 X = A 90218 -1 90219 B 90003 90002 90003 90002 What does that mean? 90003 90002 It means that we can find the values of x, y and z (the X matrix) by multiplying the 90203 inverse of the A matrix 90204 by the 90203 B matrix 90204.90003 90002 So let’s go ahead and do that. 90003 90002 First, we need to find the 90203 inverse of the A matrix 90204 (assuming it exists!) 90003 90002 Using the Matrix Calculator we get this: 90003 90002 90003 90002 (I left the 1 / determinant outside the matrix to make the numbers simpler) 90029 90003 90002 Then multiply A 90218 -1 90219 by B (we can use the Matrix Calculator again): 90003 90002 90003 90002 And we are done! The solution is: 90003 90028 x = 5, 90029 y = 3, 90029 z = -2 90003 90002 Just like on the Systems of Linear Equations page.90003 90002 Quite neat and elegant, and the human does the thinking while the computer does the calculating. 90003 90002 90003 90004 Just For Fun … Do It Again! 90005 90002 For fun (and to help you learn), let us do this all again, but put matrix «X» first. 90003 90002 I want to show you this way, because many people think the solution above is so neat it must be the only way. 90003 90002 So we will solve it like this: 90003 90028 XA = B 90003 90002 And because of the way that matrices are multiplied we need to set up the matrices differently now.The rows and columns have to be switched over ( «transposed»): 90003 90002 90003 90002 And XA = B looks like this: 90003 90002 90003 90004 The Matrix Solution 90005 90002 Then (also shown on the Inverse of a Matrix page) the solution is this: 90003 90028 X = BA 90218 -1 90219 90003 90002 This is what we get for A 90218 -1 90219: 90003 90002 90029 90003 90002 In fact it is just like the Inverse we got before, but Transposed (rows and columns swapped over). 90003 90002 Next we multiply B by A 90218 -1 90219: 90003 90002 90003 90002 And the solution is the same: 90003 90028 x = 5, y = 3 and z = -2 90003 90002 It did not look as neat as the previous solution, but it does show us that there is more than one way to set up and solve matrix equations.Just be careful about the rows and columns! 90003 90002 90003 90002 90003 .
